">Job Overview: Scrub Nurse/Ocular Practitioner
">We seek a highly skilled Scrub Nurse/Ocular Practitioner to join our Barlborough site, working 40 hours over four days, including weekends.
">As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for setting up the theatre for patient procedures, providing competent scrub provision, and supporting surgeons throughout the daily list. You will also assist with medicine management, audits, and maintaining accurate patient records.
">Your empathetic approach and ability to put patients at ease during their time in surgery are essential qualities for this role.
">Requirements and Qualifications

- A fully qualified Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with current registration from the NMC or HCPC.">
- Prior ophthalmic experience in a theatre setting is advantageous, but not mandatory; extensive theatre scrub experience can be taught.">
- The ideal candidate will possess the ability to set up for vitrectomy surgery, have a thorough understanding of Phaco Instrumentation, and demonstrate working knowledge of Biometry/Lens bank/Implants.">
