The Role
- Develop and Implement Sustainability Strategy
As our Carbon / Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Decarbonisation/Net Zero strategy and routemaps towards the delivery of our sustainability strategy. You will ensure that milestones and objectives are achieved and report on progress to senior key stakeholders.
Embed Sustainability PracticesYou will work in partnership with other areas of the business to ensure energy-efficient and carbon-reduction business practices are embedded throughout the organization to achieve the implementation of the Decarbonisation strategy.
Collaborate with TeamsKey to this role is the ability to work with other teams, such as Designers, Estimators, Commercial, and Operations, on energy-efficient and carbon-reduction initiatives. You will identify opportunities for new ways of working that differentiate our business from competitors.
Improve Data ManagementYou will improve our data management and analysis processes, ensuring we understand our environmental impact from energy and carbon use and can manage it more efficiently going forward.
Decarbonise Supply ChainYou will work closely with the Procurement team to advise on new opportunities to decarbonize within the supply chain, ensuring these requirements and targets are clearly referenced in contract documents.
Embed Sustainability in Project Life CycleYou will work in partnership with project teams to ensure upfront embodied carbon reduction business practices are embedded throughout the project life cycle.
Reporting and GovernanceYou will provide energy and carbon data in line with corporate reporting requirements, including calculation and reporting of Scope 1, 2, & 3 carbon emissions. You will also ensure reporting of energy performance in line with governance, legislative requirements, and commitment.
