Veterinary Medicine Specialist

GLG Vets is seeking an experienced and dedicated veterinary surgeon to join its team in Cornwall. As a key member of the practice, you will provide exceptional care to animals while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
About the Role
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £65,000, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will work a 4-day week with either 1:3 Saturday mornings or 1:6 full weekends.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
- Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
- Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
