We are seeking a highly skilled Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our team in the NHS Dumfries and Galloway Specialist Drug and Alcohol Service (SDAS). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality CBT interventions to clients presenting with moderate to complex psychological needs.

Main duties of the job:

  • Support the delivery of evidence-based CBT interventions to clients in treatment at SDAS.
  • Work closely with other senior members of clinical staff to enhance the quality and effectiveness of individual CBT informed interventions offered.
  • Develop close links with other Psychological Therapists within the Psychology Service.

The post-holder will be based at the Specialist Drug and Alcohol Service at Lochfield Road Primary Care Centre, Dumfries. However, they may also be required to work from other bases across Dumfries and Galloway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality CBT interventions to clients with moderate to complex psychological needs.
  • Collaborate with other clinical staff to enhance the effectiveness of CBT interventions.
  • Develop close working relationships with other Psychological Therapists.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with clients with moderate to complex psychological needs.
  • Strong knowledge of CBT principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
