We are seeking a highly skilled CBT Therapist to join our team in the NHS Dumfries and Galloway Specialist Drug and Alcohol Service (SDAS).

This role will focus on providing high-quality Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to clients presenting with moderate to complex psychological needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with an existing Consultant Clinical Psychologist at SDAS and will be an integral member of the Service.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Supporting the delivery of evidence-based CBT interventions to clients in treatment at SDAS.
  • Working closely with other senior members of clinical staff to enhance the quality and effectiveness of individual CBT informed interventions offered.
  • Supporting the development of staff through supervision, training, and consultation, and supporting the application of CBT principles to clinical work.
  • Developing close links with other Psychological Therapists within the Psychology Service.

The post-holder will be based at the Specialist Drug and Alcohol Service at Lochfield Road Primary Care Centre, Dumfries. However, they may also be required to work from other bases across Dumfries and Galloway.

The post is offered on a permanent basis.
