About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Alderwood Care Home. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents with mental health and dementia needs.

You will be responsible for formulating, implementing, and maintaining electronic nursing care plans, as well as providing treatment, care, and support to our residents. You will also supervise the delivery of care by the care team and identify training and development needs.

We are looking for someone who is warm, supportive, and caring, with a strong ability to build meaningful relationships with our residents and their families. You will need to have a valid registered NMC Pin and be able to dispense and administer medication to residents as prescribed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents with mental health and dementia needs
  • Formulate, implement, and maintain electronic nursing care plans
  • Supervise the delivery of care by the care team
  • Identify training and development needs
  • Dispense and administer medication to residents as prescribed
Requirements
  • Valid registered NMC Pin
  • Speciality in mental health and dementia care (ideal but not essential)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
