Nursery Lead Practitioner

At Bananamoonfranchise, we are seeking an exceptional Early Years Educator to join our team in a nursery setting. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the leadership of a happy and engaging environment where children can learn and grow through play.
We offer a competitive salary range of £24,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for implementing operational policies and procedures, ensuring relevant legislation is met, and adhering to health and safety protocols. They will also oversee the settling in of new children and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key responsibilities include:
- To implement operational policies and procedures and ensure relevant legislation is met.
- Adhere to room ratios in line with policy and rotas.
- Ensure accurate daily room registers and records of children in attendance.
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies.
- Be alert to issues of safeguarding and ensure the welfare and safety of children and adults is paramount.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Applicants should hold a full and relevant level 2/3 qualification as defined by Children's workforce development council, DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector, paediatric first aid certificate, safeguarding training and qualification, and one year's post-qualifying experience.
We are interested in speaking with candidates who have worked as nursery practitioners, nursery nurses or in childcare. This role would also suit students, and we will consider an experienced unqualified member of staff looking to complete their level 2 or 3 qualification.
