Job Title: Specialist Mentor Autism Professional

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Specialist Mentor Autism Professional, you will be a trusted advisor for students throughout their academic year. You will help students reflect on their experience and build their confidence through their time at University.

Throughout your role, you will be 1-2-1 mentoring your given student and helping them with what is required of them in their academic year. This will include:

  • Listening to your students and helping them manage stress, low mood, and anxiety levels.
  • Giving them the confidence to learn independently.
  • Developing skills that include organizational skills and time management.
  • Providing them with new experienced opportunities that will develop them for future roles.

  • NCPS - National Counseling and Psychotherapy Society.
  • NMC - Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • SWE - Social Work England.
  • SCW - Social Care Wales.
  • UMHAN - The University Mental Health Advisers Network.
  • COSCA - Counseling and Psychotherapy in Scotland.
