Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to Clinical Pharmacists in managing daily patient prescription requirements, including resolving patient/pharmacy queries, managing discharge summaries, and undertaking patient-facing roles.

Main Responsibilities

  • Daily prescription queries and resolution
  • Providing support to Clinical Pharmacists in managing patient prescription requirements
  • Managing discharge summaries and clinical letters
  • Undertaking patient-facing and supporting roles to ensure effective medicines use through shared decision-making conversations with patients
  • Reviewing patient medication and running medication review clinics
  • Managing MHRA alerts and actions
  • Audits and quality improvement measures

Requirements

  • Professional registration with GPhC
  • BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences
  • Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
  • Relevant advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of general practice and evidence-based medicine
  • An appreciation of the NHS agenda and government targets
  • Good clinical pharmacy knowledge, including terminology

Salary

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £28,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
