About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our team at Paul Mitchell Associates. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cash collection, ensuring adherence to risk insurance guidelines, and minimizing bad debt. A key aspect of this role is the ability to communicate effectively with customers, negotiate payment plans, and escalate issues to litigation when necessary.

To succeed in this position, you must have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will also possess strong computer literacy, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage cash collection via phone calls, emails, and dunning letters, escalating to litigation if needed.
  2. Ensure compliance with risk insurance policies.
  3. Conduct ongoing credit and risk assessments to minimize bad debt.
  4. Monitor customer accounts and credit limits closely.
  5. Generate weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc management reports.
  6. Implement action plans to address overdue balances.
  7. Refer unresolved accounts to debt recovery specialists.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience within a Credit Control or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet given deadlines.
  • Thrives under pressure.
