Exclusive Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to work with pupils in a SEN school located in the North West.

Job Description

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with pupils in Key Stage 3 to support their Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs and challenging behaviour. This role requires someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives and is committed to providing high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to pupils in Key Stage 3 to enhance their learning experience
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies to address pupils' needs
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide regular updates to teaching staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous KS3 experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • A current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
