The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Specialist to join our Corporate Sustainability, Inclusion and Social Impact Team. This role will play a critical part in supporting our company's sustainability strategies, with a focus on Human Capital Management, Human Rights, and Corporate Sustainability Reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our Modern Slavery Act program, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical consultation support to internal teams on business and human rights activities.
  • Participate in business development, client, regulatory, and investor meetings to enhance Human Rights activities and campaigns.
  • Assist in the development of remedies and solutions to emerging challenges in the Human Rights/Modern Slavery Act arena.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate sustainability communication goals.
  • Articulate the sustainability business case, develop and communicate strategy, and educate/train a wide audience.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to apply broad experience and knowledge of banking and asset servicing.
  • Strong research, analytical, and report writing skills.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to work independently and on multiple initiatives.
  • Several years of professional services experience, including in financial services, human rights, and social issues.
  • Relevant degree or higher in sustainability, social impact, business, finance, and/or accounting.
  • Familiarity with UK sustainability reporting guidelines and experience with UNGPs, modern slavery acts, GRI, and ILO standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with social value quantification and human rights reporting.
  • Social audit standards and their application in local and global value chains.
  • Consulting on responsible procurement strategies from a human rights viewpoint.
  • Supply chain risk reviews.
  • Performing social impact and human rights due diligence and reporting.
  • Experience with sustainability/ESG reporting software.
  • Experience with non-financial materiality assessments.
