Job Summary

The Technical Assistant plays a vital role in the Audio/Post team, ensuring timely completion of technical and administrative tasks to support project delivery. As a key member of the team, you will provide audio support, act as a junior audio engineer, and perform audio editing tasks to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide audio support on audio and video projects, both in-studio and out-of-studio.
  • Perform audio editing of dialogue WAV files, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Ensure quality assurance and delivery of edited dialogue WAV files using in-house tools.
  • Organize, log, and distribute batches to editors, and collect them once edited.
  • Prepare scripts and conduct QA processes on edited batches.
  • Prepare edited batches for delivery to clients and, when suitable, deliver them.
  • Assist the Post-Production Team with day-to-day tasks and collaborate with the audio team.
  • Report any issues impacting progress or quality and troubleshoot technical issues as required.
  • Keep audio assets and equipment logging up to date.

Requirements

  • Proficient in software and tools, including WAV file editors (Preferably Audition, Pro Tools, and/or Izotope RX), Pro Tools, and MS Excel.
  • Strong interest in audio technology.
  • Good ability in troubleshooting technical and IT issues.
  • Able to adapt and learn new skills and software.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and a team player who can work well with all levels.
