Role Overview

We are seeking an ambitious Account Executive to join our global team at YAP Global.

This role involves monitoring media coverage, drafting pitches, and researching client events and industry conferences. You will be responsible for arranging and managing media interviews, assisting in developing creative ideas for PR campaigns, and crafting and executing media strategies.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of experience in Public Relations, Communications or Journalism, with a strong knowledge of the fintech, blockchain or cryptocurrency space or a genuine desire to learn about it.

You will need to possess outstanding organisational, multi-tasking and time-management skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients.
  2. Research and draft pitches for features, interviews, op-eds, press releases.
  3. Draft agendas & actions for client calls, as well as take internal meeting notes.
  4. Research client events and industry conferences.
  5. Research and build media lists on an ongoing basis.
  6. Pitch press releases, op-eds and feature stories.
  7. Arrange and manage media interviews for clients.
  8. Assist in developing creative ideas for PR campaigns and clients, crafting and executing media strategies.
  9. Monitor and flag relevant news stories to team.
Requirements
  1. Candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
  2. At least 1-2 years experience or educational background in Public Relations, Communications or Journalism.
  3. Knowledge of the fintech, blockchain or cryptocurrency space or have genuine desire to learn about it.
  4. Outstanding organisational, multi-tasking and time-management skills.
  5. Strong attention to detail: be excellent at spelling, grammar and proof-reading.
  6. High motivation and the ability to work independently under pressure.
  7. Strong news sense and a knack for storytelling.
  8. Flair for creativity, strategic thinking and innovation.
  9. Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with clients and media.
  10. Willing to communicate with memes.
  11. Experience with a range of communication platforms (Telegram, Slack, X (formerly Twitter) and Discord).
