We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Cornwall Staff Agency. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Lead and motivate a team of chefs, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement new menu ideas and dishes, using seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques to create exciting and memorable dining experiences.
- Work closely with the head chef to plan and execute menus, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a similar establishment.
- Proven track record of leading and motivating a team of chefs, with a focus on developing their skills and achieving their full potential.
- Excellent knowledge of seasonal ingredients and dishes, with a passion for creating innovative and exciting menu ideas.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to command a kitchen and work effectively as part of a team.
- High level of hygiene and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
