Job Description

This Senior Outreach Worker role is based in Exeter and involves assisting with the management of local projects, ensuring teams are well supported and supervised. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting the Service Manager with operational management and staff line management of the local project team.
  2. Providing supportive line management and supervision to team members, including regular reviews such as monthly supervisions and PDRs.
  3. Managing a caseload of clients with high-quality person-centred services that take a strength-based and trauma-informed approach.
  4. Identifying and promoting opportunities for client involvement within the project(s).
  5. Obtaining clients' views and feedback to shape the design and delivery of local projects.
  6. Maintaining accurate records using the Client Record Management system (INFORM) and undertaking quality assurance checks.
  7. Dealing professionally with local incidents and safeguarding, ensuring action is taken, communicated, followed up, and recorded.
  8. Liaising closely with the Health, Safety, and Facilities Team in the delivery of these.
  9. Supporting and supervising volunteers in the projects.
  10. Supporting and mentoring social work students as required.
  11. Participating in an Outreach Rota which may include some evening, weekend, and early morning work.
  12. Undertaking travel to support staff and clients as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A full driving license and access to own car.
  • Track record of working as part of a team in housing, health, or social care setting.
  • Proven ability to develop supportive, empowering relationships with socially excluded clients, resulting in high-quality client service.
  • Commitment to equality and diversity.
  • Solutions-focused approach within projects.
  • An enthusiastic 'can do' approach to implementing excellent service within projects.
  • Ability and motivation to embed a recovery-focused approach and a strength-based trauma-informed approach within projects.
  • Ability to travel.
