About the Role

As a Support Coordinator for our dementia communities in South Devon, you will play a vital role in ensuring that people affected by dementia have access to the support and services they need.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating our community-based groups, including memory cafes and singing groups, to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals living with dementia and their carers.

You will work closely with our dedicated team of volunteers to promote and establish new groups, recruit and guide volunteers, and take feedback from service users to ensure that our services meet their needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people affected by dementia and to contribute to our mission of creating a world without dementia.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate community-based groups, including memory cafes and singing groups
  • Recruit and guide volunteers to support group activities
  • Take feedback from service users to inform service development
  • Work closely with our volunteer team to promote and establish new groups
About You

We are looking for a compassionate and supportive individual with a good understanding of dementia and its impact on individuals and families. You will have excellent communication skills and experience of working with volunteers or teams.

A strong knowledge of dementia and experience of coordinating community-based projects would be advantageous. You must also have good computer skills and the ability to travel independently within our service area.
