Functional Assessor

About the RoleAs a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Communities (DfC) in their decision-making processes. You will be responsible for conducting assessments to determine the impact of health conditions and disabilities on claimants.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of claimants to determine the effects of their health conditions or disabilities
- Write accurate and objective reports to support decision-making processes
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines and generate high-quality reports
- Develop strong relationships with claimants, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
We offer a competitive salary, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Starting salary: £38,500 - £41,500
- Retention bonus: 5%
- Additional bonus: up to 10% for quality and retention
- Estimated total earnings (OTE): £45,650
- 25 days of annual leave (increasing to 27 days after 5 years)

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum one year of post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic
- Full registration with a UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, etc.) with no restrictions and a valid PIN
- Strong observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and delve deeper
- Ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and generate accurate reports
- Proficient with IT, Microsoft Office, and remote system access
- Valid driving license or reliable transportation to reach the nearest assessment centre
