About the Role

As a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Communities (DfC) in their decision-making processes. You will conduct assessments to determine the impact of health conditions and disabilities on claimants, using evidence supplied and your professional expertise to write accurate and objective reports.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, with a starting salary of £38,500 - £41,500, plus a retention bonus of 5% and an additional bonus of up to 10% for quality and retention. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including 25 days of annual leave (increasing to 27 days after 5 years), reimbursement for registration fees, and support for revalidation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of one year of post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic. You will also need to have full registration with a UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, etc.) with no restrictions and a valid PIN. Strong observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and delve deeper, are essential for this role.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role, with 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day). Flexible hours can be arranged with your line manager after initial training, considering both personal preferences and business needs. Work hours are between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid one-hour lunch break.
