Reliable Phlebotomy Specialist Required for AD HOC Sample Collections

Synlab UK, a trusted expert in clinical laboratory and medical diagnostic services, is looking for a reliable Phlebotomy Specialist to join their Sample Collections team on an AD HOC/casual basis. This role involves attending pre-booked appointments at various locations in and around the Southampton area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attending pre booked appointments at various locations in and around the Southampton area - appointments can be up to a 2 hour radius from your home.
  • Provide a professional hair, blood and DNA sample collection service.
  • Maintain and develop excellent relationships with clients, donors as the public face of Synlab UK.
  • Implement the requirements of the company Quality management System and help maintain ISO17025 accreditation.
  • Ensure that all collections are undertaken in a safe, healthy and low risk environment and manner.
  • Provide statements of truth at point of collection.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and language skills, a full UK Driving Licence and own access to a vehicle with business insurance. A minimum of 2 years' experience in Phlebotomy, post qualification, is required. Hepatitis B vaccination is required for this role and an enhanced DBS check will also be an essential requirement.

  • Phlebotomy: 1 year (required)
  • Venipuncture: 1 year (required)
  • Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence and own access to a vehicle with business insurance (required)

This is a day shift, Monday to Friday, position with no weekends. The salary for this position is £47.25 per collection. The location of this job is within the Southampton area and surrounding areas. If you have the necessary qualifications and experience, we would love to hear from you.
