About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler Design Engineer to join our team in the H&K London regional office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing sprinkler systems for various sectors on small works contract projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate sprinkler system designs with client representatives and other service contracts.
  • Contribute to the design programme by monitoring progress against the construction programme and specification requirements.
  • Issue completion documents and certification.
  • Obtain necessary information from relevant parties for preparation of fully designed working drawings.
  • Attend site meetings to discuss design matters.
  • Prepare complete working drawings in accordance with design codes, including hydraulic calculations.
  • Compile materials lists and schedules for procurement purposes.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by the Project Manager or Design Manager.
Requirements
  • Experience in design engineering within the sprinkler industry (highly desirable).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of LPC BS EN 12845 rules (highly desirable).
  • LPCB Intermediate qualification and LPCB Full Hydraulic Calculation qualification (highly desirable).
  • Proficiency in using Autocad 2D (essential).
  • Revit 3D experience (highly desirable).
  • Experience with Full Hydraulic Calculation software, ideally Canute (highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of Factory Mutual Standards and NFPA standards (highly desirable).
  • HND or Degree qualification in a construction/engineering design related topic (highly desirable).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Active problem solver with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
