The Undergraduate Analyst Programme

This two-year programme offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in economics consulting while pursuing a part-time master's degree at Birkbeck University. As an Analyst, you will work alongside our team of experts, rotating across different practices and developing your skills in economic analysis, modelling, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical and theoretical analysis, working closely with clients and colleagues to solve complex problems. Your tasks will include:

  • Developing and presenting economic models and frameworks
  • Conducting data analysis and creating visualizations
  • Writing reports and presenting findings to clients and colleagues
  • Collaborating with project teams to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
  • Continuously developing your skills in Excel, Stata, and other tools


About You

We are looking for highly motivated and talented individuals who are passionate about economics and eager to learn. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of micro-economics and a 2:1 Bachelor's degree in Economics (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in the native language of the country you are applying to (a second language is also desirable)
