Chief Engineer and Technical Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Engineer and Technical Superintendent to join our team at Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our offshore support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

The Role:
  1. Oversee the maintenance and repair of shipboard mechanical, electrical, and navigational systems.
  2. Monitor and review vessel condition via electronic Engine Room Log sheets.
  3. Collaborate with the Special Projects/Docking function to ensure timely completion of dry dock specifications and related orders.
  4. Manage and update Planned Maintenance, Purchasing, and Defect Reporting systems.
  5. Engage with senior ship officers to address and resolve performance issues.
The Person:
  1. Sea-going Chief Engineer or equivalent with relevant offshore support experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, or a related field.
  3. Extensive experience in offshore vessel management, with a strong understanding of maritime legislation, SOLAS, IMO, Class & Flag regulations.
