Procurement Coordinator

Job Overview:
The Procurement Assistant will support the Procurement Manager in creating subcontractor orders, liaising with clients, subcontractors, and site teams, and assisting with general filing and system administration. As a leading principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation, Lawtech delivers high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding repatriations & regeneration contracts throughout London and the wider Southeast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders on proposed works and during the Pre-construction phase.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Manager on project requirements.
- Update the procurement schedule in-line with the programme.
- Participate in daily review meetings with the Office & Teams Project Team.
- Liaise with H&S, Design, Technical, and Estimating to ensure the scope of works and delivery are fulfilled.
- Compile Tender packages, scope of works, etc.
- File all quotation Tender returns.
- Prepare proposals and collate comparisons, submit to the Team.
- Organise and lead pre-construction meetings and collate meeting minutes.
- Create subcontractor orders.
- Review all contract documents with commercial and the project team, prior to contracts being sent out (written approval).
- Track subcontractor signed contracts.
- Monitor and increase Subcontractors & Lawtech project team on proposed works and during the Pre-construction phase.
- Attend site during Estimating, pre-construction phases.
- Provide quotations for any additional works required outside the initial scope.
- Ensure all contracts are within budget.
- Provide project-by-project cost analysis against budget, submit to Estimating, Commercial Team, and Procurement Manager.
- Log and handle enquiries.
- Communicate with Site Staff & Subcontractors to ensure attendances on site as agreed.
This is an office-based role, working at our Head office, 5 days a week, with the opportunity to progress to a trainee Quantity Surveyor.
Requirements:
- Advanced user of MS Excel/Word, Microsoft packages.
- Attention to detail and analytical approach.
- Excellent English language skills, dealing with telephone calls, visitors, and emails appropriately.
- Ability to drive to sites if required, with the Procurement Manager.
- General IT: Competent user of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Previous experience with Subcontractors & the construction industry (advantage).
