Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at EVC, responsible for carrying out site surveys and minor works installations at commercial EV charging locations. This role requires a qualified electrician with a proactive approach to maintaining existing equipment and working collaboratively with our Sales and Account Management teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough site surveys to assess available power and provide accurate quotes and estimates
  • Work closely with Sales and Account Management to manage surveys and site visits for installations
  • Collaborate with Customer Services to provide proactive and reactive maintenance on existing sites
  • Perform minor works installations and commissioning of both A.C and D.C chargepoints
  • Quality assurance reports on sub-contractor installations
  • Test and inspection using NICEIC portal
  • Represent EVC as a brand ambassador and interact with clients during site visits
Requirements
  • Experience working with large-scale commercial/industrial building supply and understanding of how to utilize this supply for installations
  • Previous experience installing electric vehicle charging points, whether commercial or domestic
  • Maintenance Engineer experience
  • Understanding of various commercial electrical installations
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with the office and clients
  • Drive, commitment, and desire to learn and progress in a fast-paced industry
  • Proactive and responsive approach to work
  • Team player with a positive attitude

  • City and Guilds 18th Edition
  • 2391 Test And Inspection
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • 2396 Electrical Design Course
  • ECS/CSCS cardholder
  • 2919-01 EV Charger Course
