Job Title: Electrical Installation Specialist - Renewable Energy

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, such as ventilation systems, lighting, Solar PV System, and heating controls in line with all company procedures and MCS requirements across a range of clients and contracts including housing association & private customers. You will also be responsible for maintaining job time frames and quality standards of the company by working efficiently and safely with a high-quality finish.



Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installations, such as ventilation systems, lighting, Solar PV System, and heating controls in line with all company procedures and MCS requirements.
  • Maintain job time frames and quality standards of the company by working efficiently and safely with a high-quality finish.
  • Deliver a high-quality service to the client and their customers, having respect for all individuals and meeting the challenges presented.
  • Carry out all works strictly in line with company procedures and all MCS standards within the industry.
  • Repairs and minor works as and when required for installation call backs or remedial works.
  • Breakdown attendance and response to urgent calls.
  • Install all products and materials to the highest quality possible and in line with all manufacturer guidelines.
  • Carry out ordering of parts and management of own jobs to ensure fast resolution to the clients issue or fault.
  • Clear each job from the handheld device and back office system as they are completed.
  • Liaise with residents and CCS clients as and when required about the works being undertaken.
  • Ensure all PPE is present and always correct.
  • Liaise with project manager and assist with keeping the standards of the QMS and company quality manual.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
  • Keep all appointments and inform CCS tenants/clients of any changes.
  • Carry out duties as required by any senior manager or member of staff representing such manager.
  • Stay up to date with all codes of practice involving your given discipline.
  • Report any variations to any works and update the administration department of changes to requirements on site.
  • Engage and attend all staff briefings and company functions.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Liaise with all other engineers and staff to ensure targets are reached, organizing mechanical works, and building works on any given installation.
  • Produce a certificate or job sheet for all work, any other reports or records required for the work.
  • Submit a valid and accurate timesheet, delivery notes, expenses, and any other documentation weekly.


Requirements

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist with:



  • General competence in the given trade.
  • NVQ 2 or equivalent in Electrical Systems.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • BPEC qualification or equivalent in installation of Solar PV preferred.
  • Punctuality, professionalism, flexibility, and working knowledge of Mobile PDA.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience preferred.
  • Experience of working within the Social Housing sector on installation projects and maintenance contracts.
  • Experience of working with residents and clients directly.
  • A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be required.
