Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Farmfoods in Northwich, Cheshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Shop Manager to maintain an efficient shop and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and lead a team of Retail Assistants through coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Take ownership of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, ensuring customer satisfaction, efficient delivery, and adherence to shop routines.
  • Drive operational cost control, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll management.
  • Support the Shop Manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
Requirements:
  • A friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Trustworthiness and reliability, as you will be an integral part of a small team.
  • Previous experience as a manager, team leader, or supervisor.
