Senior Finance Analyst Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join our Retail B2B Leadership team at Halfords. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving commercial performance improvements and providing finance support to our Retail B2B Leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to the Retail B2B Leadership Team, including KPI analysis and variance analysis to budget.
  • Support the Retail B2B Leadership Team in understanding and managing costs, while driving operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure cost lines are accurate and complete.
  • Lead on month-end close for all retail B2B, providing variance analysis to budget across all B2B revenue streams.
  • Lead on budgeting and reforecasting processes during the annual business cycle for all retail B2B cost lines across each revenue stream.
  • Track Opex/Capex project spend for cost lines.

Requirements:

  • Experience within Retail or a fast-paced sector, preferably FMCG.
  • Part-qualified at Strategic level, studying towards CIMA or ACCA.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use Microsoft Access at a high level.
  • Experience with using SAP is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong Communication and presentation skills.
  • Absolute commitment to quality with a high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle large quantities of data and analyze data to inform commercial decision making.
  • Curious attitude and confident self-starter, with a desire to continuously develop self and drive business forward.
  • Dynamic and results-driven individual with a high level of energy.
  • Ability to build and develop good working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to progress and succeed within the business.
