Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Tutor to provide personalized support to students with Autism and ADHD in their core subjects of Maths and English.

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent, a strong background in SEN, and experience working with disengaged pupils. They will need to assess the students' current ability, reintroduce education into their routine, and develop a suitable school provision.

Lessons will take place in a local Library or the student's home, requiring flexibility and creativity in teaching approaches.

To succeed in this role, applicants must hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate, be eligible to work in the UK, and provide two professional child-related references.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 Maths and English support to students with Autism and ADHD
  • Assess students' current ability and develop a suitable educational plan
  • Work collaboratively with parents and carers to ensure consistent support
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and engagement

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
  • Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Strong understanding of SEN and creative teaching approaches
