About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our Infrastructure Services team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our technical function, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our technology solutions, systems, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and administration of virtual and physical servers
- Experience with modern backup technologies, including on-premise and cloud systems
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaboration with internal colleagues, external partners, and suppliers to optimize technology investments
- Day-to-day operation, administration, and support of key technologies within your remit
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in IT, with evidence of operating at a practitioner level (SFIA1 level 2) and supporting major/business-critical IT systems. You will also have experience working as part of a technical team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
