Senior Decommissioning Project Manager

Salary: Up to £60,000 Depending on experience
This permanent vacancy is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to lead decommissioning projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the nuclear industry, with at least 5 years of experience in project management and leadership roles.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or science, and will be able to demonstrate previous line management experience. A proven track record of mentoring and coaching team members, carrying out staff appraisals, and identifying training and personal development needs will also be essential.
The role involves providing technical input and support to decommissioning projects and activities, undertaking audits, managing and overseeing decommissioning works, and ensuring that these are undertaken safely and comply with processes and regulations.
A key responsibility will be to develop a waste management strategy, including categorisation, handling, and storage of waste, as well as budgeting and cost estimations for decommissioning projects.
