Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Category Management team in the UK. As the Head of Category Management, you will be responsible for developing and executing the category vision and strategy for Haribo and MAOAM Brands across the UK retailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of the category vision and strategy in partnership with the Haribo Insights team.
  • Represent the commercial category perspective in CP&A (Commercial Planning & Activation) and the Stage & Gate process.
  • Develop trusted advisory relationships with customers to unlock space gains for Haribo and establish Haribo as the go-to partner for category insight.
  • Leverage data sources to provide strategic insight and direction both internally and with external retail partners.
  • Translate the category vision and strategy into actions both instore and online.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of Category Managers to deliver the business plan.
  • Develop direct reports through Personal Development Plans, including regular 1:1s, in-field coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Support career development and succession planning.
  • Recruit for any vacancies, ensuring a pipeline of future talent is developed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in category management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the UK retail landscape and Haribo's category vision.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Insights.
