Job Title: Philosophy Instructor

Job Summary:

Brightpoint Community College is seeking a part-time Philosophy Instructor to teach online or traditional courses on the Chester or Midlothian campus. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in Philosophy or a related field and prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach online or traditional courses in Philosophy, including Introduction to Philosophy I, Logic I, and Ethics
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Provide excellent student support and guidance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the student learning experience

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Philosophy or a related field
  • 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in Philosophy
  • Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level
  • Ability to use instructional technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching Philosophy courses
  • Strong understanding of instructional technologies
