Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust as a Children's Nurse Community Specialist, working in a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their skills and expertise in paediatric community nursing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the transition of children from hospital to home, providing specialist knowledge and care to meet the diverse needs of patients and their families in various settings.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care and promote evidence-based practice.
  • Holding a clinical caseload within your scope of competency, ensuring effective assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes for specialised nursing care.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to other professionals, promoting best practice and contributing to the development of the team.
About the Role

This role is an excellent opportunity to work in a community setting, providing specialist care to children and young people. As a Children's Nurse Community Specialist, you will be responsible for managing complex cases, working closely with families, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in paediatric nursing, with a strong focus on community care. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being able to work effectively with children, young people, and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals.

Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse with a strong background in paediatric nursing.
  • Experience in community nursing, preferably with a focus on paediatrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership working.
  • Postgraduate qualification in teaching and mentorship, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a car.
