About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Interv l Group | B Corp™.

Salary:£60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects. This includes creating detailed designs for LV and HV networks, performing load flow, fault level, and protection coordination studies using industry-standard software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed designs for LV and HV networks, including cable routes, substation layouts, and protection systems.
  • Produce single-line diagrams, general arrangements, and technical specifications.
  • Perform load flow, fault level, and protection coordination studies using industry-standard software.
  • Ensure designs comply with the latest engineering standards, DNO specifications, and statutory regulations.
  • Liaise with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure design deliverables align with project timelines.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and strong understanding of HV/LV electrical distribution systems and design principles. Proficiency in design tools and software such as AutoCAD, Amtech, or ETAP is also essential.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of HV/LV electrical distribution systems and design principles.
  • Proficiency in design tools and software such as AutoCAD, Amtech, or ETAP.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, including G81, BS7671, and ENA Technical Specifications.
