Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our psycho-oncology service, you will play a vital role in providing specialist psychological support to patients with cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for patients with complex psychological needs.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Provide supervision, training, and consultation to junior staff members.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects.
- Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practitioner psychologist.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development, as recommended by the BPS/HCPC.
- Post-doctoral training in specialized areas of psychological practice.
- Formal training in supervision of other psychologists.
- Experience working with patients with cancer or in a health psychology setting.
