Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Surgical Registrar. This position is part of our cross-site senior trainee rota, averaging 48 hours per week.

The successful candidate will work alongside other specialty registrars, participating in the day-to-day running of the General Surgical department and attending operating theatre sessions and out-patients clinics.

This role involves teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and other clinicians as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the cross-site senior trainee rota.
  • Teach and supervise junior medical staff and other clinicians.
Person SpecificationExperience
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in acute and elective General Surgery at CT2 or equivalent level, with recent NHS experience.
  • Demonstrate an intelligent and analytical approach to problem solving.
Qualifications
  • A Medical Degree from a recognised medical school.
  • Successful completion of post-registration training.
  • ATLS certification.
  • A Higher qualification.
  • MRCS or equivalent.
GMC Registration
  • A full GMC number.
  • A full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
Salary:

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
