Special Needs Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at an 'Outstanding' SEND school in Choppington. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils aged 2-19 with complex needs.
Your responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher with lesson planning, delivering small group and 1:1 interventions, and collaborating with colleagues to develop tailored support plans for each student. You will also contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in developing and delivering lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of individual students
- Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions to support pupil progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement support plans for students
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
