Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Bis Henderson Recruitment. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing route efficiency and driver availability in a service-led environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Route Optimization: Manage route efficiency to ensure effective use of vehicles and facilities, reducing operating costs and improving productivity.
  • Driver Management: Manage driver availability and coverage in line with legislation, ensuring compliance with O'licence regulations.
  • Administrative Tasks: Input pay and bonus information, update holiday rotas, timesheets, and tachograph records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure health and safety standards are maintained, supervising vehicle availability and ensuring drivers have completed their checks.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Skills: Able to supervise teams remotely, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Administrative Skills: Good administrative skills and an excellent communicator, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of vehicle and driver regulations for O'licence compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Employee Engagement: Able to support employee engagement, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist with the continuous improvement in productivity and the quality of service provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
