Job Description: Learning Facilitator

Location: Plymouth, Devon

Job Type: Full-time (Monday - Friday)

Salary: £9,500 - £10,650 per month (£90-£105 per day)

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Facilitator to join our team at Vision for Education in Plymouth. As a Learning Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in supporting a student's educational and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of the student.
  2. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages engagement and facilitates learning.
  3. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of individual learning plans.
  4. Provide ongoing support and guidance to the student, monitoring and evaluating their progress regularly.
  5. Communicate effectively with the student's family and other stakeholders to maintain open channels of communication.
  6. Stay up-to-date with best practices in special educational needs and disability (SEND) to ensure the highest quality of care and support.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required as driving the student to various locations will be part of the role.
  • Must be available to work from 08:30 to 15:30, Monday through Friday.
  • Previous experience with SEND students or children is desirable but not essential.
  • A strong passion for supporting young people with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, capable of adapting to changing circumstances.
