Specialist Optometrist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optometrist to join our team at a well-respected Specialist Eye Clinic in Brighton. As a Specialist Optometrist, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out examinations associated with cataract surgery and provide health advice and support to patients.
  • Run acute and follow-up clinics post-surgery for patients, documenting findings in electronic medical record systems.
  • Provide first-line clinical advice to patients and refer to medical practitioners as necessary.
  • Ensure awareness of CQC policies and updates, attending mandatory update courses.
  • Contribute to the control of cross infection by enforcing hospital policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and services to ensure a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
  • GOC Registered.
  • Minimum 2 Years Post Registration Experience in the UK.
  • Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Experience within refraction.
  • Experience of using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systems.
  • Cataract Experience (Desirable) - Training can be provided.
