We are seeking a highly motivated and career-driven Optometrist to join our team at Compass Associates. As a Specialist Optometrist, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our Specialist Eye Clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough examinations associated with cataract surgery, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Run acute and follow-up clinics post-surgery, documenting findings in electronic medical records and providing health advice and support to patients.
- Provide first-line clinical advice to patients, referring them to medical practitioners as necessary, and ensuring awareness of CQC policies and updates.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to hospital policies on uniform, decontamination, and sterilization procedures.
- Proactively identify process improvements to ensure a streamlined, efficient, and high-quality service for patients.
- Build strong relationships with patients, understanding their individual needs and providing tailored treatment solutions.
- Ensure compliance with pre-authorisation processes and collection of surgery deposits.
- GOC Registered.
- Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in the UK.
- Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Experience within refraction.
- Experience of using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systems.
- Cataract experience (desirable); training can be provided for the right candidate.
- IP qualification (desirable); training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Up to £70,000 DOE.
- 33 days annual leave.
