Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth by providing exceptional customer service, utilizing Lids selling techniques.
  • Foster a sales-focused environment and encourage customisation.
  • Prioritise customer needs at all times.
  • Develop and maintain strong brand and product knowledge.
  • Show a genuine interest in learning about our products to enhance the customer experience.
  • Effectively resolve customer complaints.
  • Meet or exceed Company Objectives in individual statistics.
  • Build a loyal customer base that returns to the store consistently.
  • Process transactions efficiently and accurately.

Brand Image

  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Company Dress Code Policy.
  • Adhere to a positive attitude towards Lids Inc. at all times.
  • Assist in maintaining store standards at all times.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Expense Control
  • Protect company assets within the guidelines of Lids Retail policies.
  • Participate in managing store inventory, including processing shipments and resetting merchandise.
  • Assist in conducting accurate product counts in a timely manner.
  • Support and adhere to all Lids Retail policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure awareness and adherence to relevant Health & Safety regulations that may impact yourself, another team member or visitor to the store.
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Desirable: previous retail or sales experience. Essential: a passion for customer service and dedication to ensuring each customer has a memorable experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a positive and welcoming approach.
  • A strong passion for Lids products and a drive to continuously learn and develop product knowledge.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours to cover sickness, holiday, or during peak periods.
  • Methodical, thorough, with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to operate till/EPOS systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and work with hands overhead.
  • Ability to read and operate a computer.
  • Standing required for up to 100% of the time.
  • Ability to prove eligibility to work in the UK.
