Senior Project Development Manager – Onshore Wind

We are partnering with a dynamic renewable energy company to find an experienced Developer to take full ownership of the development activities for new wind farms in Scotland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving onshore wind projects from feasibility through to construction, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery. This includes managing all permitting processes, building strong relationships with local communities, landowners, and regulatory bodies, and preparing projects for a smooth handoff to construction teams.

  • Drive onshore wind projects from feasibility through to construction, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Manage all permitting processes, including EIAs and planning applications, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with local communities, landowners, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project approvals.
  • Prepare projects for a smooth handoff to construction teams by finalizing all necessary permits and agreements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the development process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role related to the development/delivery of onshore wind projects in Scotland.
  • Strong knowledge of the connection process for new generation projects to the distribution and transmission networks.
  • Commercial mindset and desire to learn.
  • Willingness to travel when and as required.
