The Clinical Pharmacy Team in NHS Tayside is at the forefront of innovation, pushing the boundaries of patient-centered care. We seek a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our Medicine for the Elderly clinical pharmacy team, working collaboratively to develop medication optimization services for patients across Tayside.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews, identifying potential adverse reactions and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Develop and implement medication optimization services, ensuring continuity of care and promoting better health outcomes.
  • Work closely with medical colleagues to effectively utilize clinical knowledge and skills, positively contributing to patient care.
  • Optimize medicines, foster a patient-centered approach, and promote better health outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within a clinical environment.
  • Training and support will be provided to develop a portfolio and seek accreditation in line with the RPS Advanced Practice Framework.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development is essential.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council and possession of a prescribing qualification or willingness to work towards one.
