This exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced and qualified pharmacist to join the medicine team at NHS Tayside, based in Ninewells Hospital. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with experienced clinical pharmacists and technicians to develop and deliver pharmaceutical care to the population of Tayside.

As a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, you will bring your unique expertise and skill set to work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to optimize clinical outcomes and minimize the risk of harm from medicines. You will work across various acute in-patient wards, reviewing high-priority patients and gaining experience in delivering pharmacist-led clinics or integrating into MDT out-patient pathways within a specialty. The post will support NHS Tayside-wide medicine governance activities delegated under the supervision of a senior member of the team. You will also take an active role in the training and development of colleagues, including junior staff and students.

To be successful in this role, you must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have previous experience of working as a qualified pharmacist. Completion of a post-graduate training or demonstration of equivalent competence is essential. Evidence of teamwork and excellent communication skills would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will work to a job plan aligned with the advanced practice framework and will be supported with protected time and opportunities to achieve accreditation at advanced level practice. This is a rewarding role with excellent support from our clinical pharmacy team and wider multi-disciplinary team.
