Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Financial Control team at Addleshaw Goddard. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and control activities, including the preparation of statutory financial statements, audit management, and balance sheet reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare statutory financial statements for the group, including limited company and LLP entities, under UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Work with the team to ensure audits are on track and good lines of communication are maintained with the audit teams
  • Review statutory adjustments and ensure all items are posted into the ledgers in an accurate and timely manner
  • Accurate monthly accounting and timely reporting of relevant jurisdictional balances
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliations for regional entity balance sheets
  • Responsibility for intercompany matrix, intercompany billing processes, and intercompany reconciliations
  • Foreign exchange accounting
  • Support with technical accounting advisory
  • Improvement of controls, processes, and compliance in all areas of accounting across regions

Requirements

  • 5+ years PQE as a qualified accountant
  • Experience of preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and a good understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Demonstrable experience managing audit processes
  • Evidenced ability of operating with a control mindset and a track record of driving the strengthening and refining of financial controls
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with others to implement change
  • Confident and consultative stakeholder manager with evidenced experience of engaging with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
  • Strong attention to detail with the curiosity to identify, understand, and drive imaginative solutions to challenges
  • Experience of line management desirable but not essential
  • Strong working knowledge in IT systems, specifically across MS packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
