ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in the Financial Control team at Addleshaw Goddard, supporting the firm's international growth and success. This position requires an experienced, qualified accountant with a strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and prepare statutory financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Manage audit processes, working closely with the audit teams to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Develop and implement financial controls, ensuring a best-in-class control environment.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to ensure all audit issues are escalated and dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical accounting advisory support to the team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years PQE as a qualified accountant.
  • Experience of preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, with a good understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
  • Proven track record of driving the strengthening and refining of financial controls.
  • Experience of line management desirable but not essential.
