Senior Island Resort Manager

The Fair Isle Bird Observatory is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to oversee all aspects of accommodation and visitor services on our remote Scottish island.
This challenging role requires a skilled leader with strong business administration skills, who can manage a seasonal team and maintain high standards of customer service.
We are offering a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as accommodation, food, and utilities for the successful applicant.
About Us
FIBO is an independent, non-profit charity that provides hotel accommodation and carries out ornithological research on the island. Our 44-bed hotel is a world-famous visitor facility that attracts birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts from around the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- To oversee all matters relating to visitors and accommodation at FIBO
- To manage a seasonally employed team comprising a cook, assistant cook, and hospitality assistants
- To work closely with the Head of Ornithology to support the development of our visitor facilities
Requirements
- Degree in hospitality or business administration or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership and customer service skills
- Ability to work autonomously and make decisions with initiative
