About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team at Contract Scotland. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating construction design projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage design teams to deliver high-quality construction design projects
  • Develop and implement design strategies to meet project objectives and client requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Manage design project budgets and resources to achieve maximum efficiency and value
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a design management role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality design projects on time and within budget
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct design teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction design principles, building codes, and industry standards
